MORE THAN JUST AN ACTIVITY

Our after-school programme gives students a structured and engaging way to build confidence, discipline, and physical fitness, while learning essential self-defence skills.

This is not a casual club. It is a progressive educational programme with a clear syllabus that students follow throughout the year. To get the most from their training, students are expected to practise regularly and take their grading when invited, usually at the end of each term. Grading is an important part of karate as it recognises progress and helps students set and achieve their goals.

If your child is not planning to take part in the next grading, please discuss this directly, and in advance, with the club administrator, Gillian. This should not be conveyed via the class instructor.

WHO CAN JOIN?

Any student is welcome. No prior experience is needed, just a willingness to learn and commit to regular practice.

HOW TO ENROL

• Current students will receive a 48-hour priority booking window starting Friday 28th November at midday.
• New students who wish to join should contact Gillian before booking to confirm that a space can be offered.
• Once the priority window closes, any remaining spaces will be released on a first come, first served basis. Please book promptly to secure your child’s place in this rewarding programme.

Spring Term 2025/26 (11 lessons)

• Term runs from 7th January to 25th March
• There is no lesson on 18^th February due to half term

Additional Costs

• The term’s grading examination is due to take place on a date to be confirmed. Full details will be shared nearer the time. Grading fees vary depending on the students current grade.
• Students must wear a Kosmo branded uniform (gi) alongside their current belt (obi) to every lesson
• Annual license payments are needed to attend these classes. New members can purchase this at https://kosmoskc.com/product/license/. Licensed students will receive a reminder when their renewal is due.
